We at Arizona Boating & Watersports, AZBW / WOT Weekly, Rock The Boat and Western Outdoor Times appreciate the kind comments made by our readers and subscribers. Thank you all.
HAHWG,
I wanted to share the support we are getting from Jim and Carol Allen, publishers of Arizona Boating & Watersports / Western Outdoor Times. Attached is the coverage from our winter meeting they are including in their next issue. They have done this in the past as well, my apologies for not sharing with the group. Their content is printed and distributed widely, as well as online and via email. Here are their links if you’re interested. They are always doing stories about the outdoors and have been tireless supporters of AZGFD, wildlife, conservation and safety.

Thank you Carol and Jim- just beautiful. I have feeling that Carol wrote the poem. Greetings and Merry Christmas.!

This is the poem.
CAME CHRISTMAS
During the night — velvet, dark and quiet,
Beyond the river — silver, soft and deep,
Above the trees — standing still and silent,
In the sky — hushed and asleep,
APPEARED A STAR
With a promise — bright and shining,
For a world wrapped in fear,
Into a moment shot with silver,
To a place so far, yet near,
CAME CHRISTMAS

AZBW New Hunting Section
Jim,
I just saw the new October-November issue with the new hunting section – nice work. I like that it is a pull out section and allows quick reference of just hunting material.
Also, thank you for giving so much page space for the Departments small game promotion. Our “Small Game, Big Fun” campaign will run through the end of January.

Hi Jim/Carol.
Hey, this looks fantastic.. I can never thank you both enough for all you do for the people of Arizona who have a great park system. I can't remember all the distribution. How many people will get this?
I will send your information to our director as she is excited that we try to win this $100,000 and will be so happy to see this page.
Isn't it cool that Tonto will be saved for another year? Truly a miraculous story about the communities understanding the economic value of their parks and saving them.
Thanks again you guys...you rock!

San Diego Sportfishing Council
To: Arizona Boating and Watersports News Magazine
Dear Jim & Carol Allen,
Thank you for your participation and support of San Diego’s 31st Annual Day at the Docks. Although construction was not yet completed we managed to build around the obstacles. We appreciated everyone’s patience and cooperation in working with us through the temporary construction inconvenience as we fit everything in place. Through future years we will all enjoy the benefit of the newly renovated facilities.
Your participation as an exhibitor was an important contribution to the event’s overall success. Public turnout was strong, media coverage was extensive and we could not have asked for much better weather. We’ve had very positive feedback from the fleet and we know that anglers were ready to talk business about the upcoming season. We hope you had a very productive day as well.
The traditional Day at the Docks Red, White and Blue raffles raised significant funds for our beneficiary, the San Diego Burn Institute. Many thanks to those of you who contributed prizes and gifts to that effort!
A special thank you goes out to those exhibitors who chose to increase their Day at the Docks presence by participating as Exhibiting Sponsors. We thank you for your additional support. Your logos and direct link information will remain posted on our website through the upcoming year. We sincerely hope that your participation as an Exhibiting Sponsor brings you new and repeat business.
We value your insights and ideas as an industry supporter and exhibitor at Day at the Docks. Please feel free to share your ideas, concerns and any suggestions that might advance the effectiveness of future Day at the Docks events.
On behalf of the Port of San Diego, the San Diego Sportfishing Council, and the San Diego sportfishing fleet, we thank you for your support, generosity and participation at this year’s event. We look forward to working with you again.
Sincerely,
Catherine Miller

Dear Editor (Carol):
My name is J.J. McMahon and I live in Scottsdale, AZ. I’m writing to you in regards to my recent experience with a few of the local business owners in Page, Ariz. (This Side of That - guide service).
I do not work for, nor am I being paid for my comments; I just know that we often hear when things are bad, but rarely about exceptional service.
As a native of Arizona, a lifelong angler, and former “small business” owner, I felt compelled to offer my gratitude on the level of service that we received. I wanted to give their company some form of appropriate recognition.
If your publication isn’t that appropriate publication, can you please suggest where I might post or submit my comments? (I could also provide appropriate pictures if needed.)
Thank you for your time in advance!
**Keep-up the terrific work & cheers!

Dear Jim & Carol,
I just wanted to thank you personally for all the publicity you provided, as well as the auction donation, for this last weekend’s Leukemia Cup Regatta, January 16-18, 2009, at Lake Pleasant Harbor with the Arizona Yacht Club. It was also fun to be on the radio - for the first time ever!
We had many compliments and cannot thank you enough for your generous contributions. The regatta was a HUGE success! We had 240 people for dinner Saturday night (a record!), and 64 boats competing in the Leukemia Cup, Eventagram, and Birthday Regatta races. Rick D’Amico (Channel 10 Fox News) once again emcee’d our live auction. The Arizona Yacht Club’s goal was to raise $65,000 for LLS this year, but with gas prices sky high earlier in the year and the current economic conditions, we were doubtful. Shame on us! We raised over $67,000 for patient aid and blood cancer research.
On behalf of the brave blood cancer patients in Arizona, I extend our sincere thanks for your help in making this a very special event. To see some great pictures, go to www.arizonayachtclub.org/Racing/Scores/2009/Birthday/birthday09.shtml.

Hello Jim and Carol.
It was great to see you both.
Max and I have to work on saturday, soo we will not be able to help out at Tempe town Lake. Sorry.
Over the past two years Chuck and I have been amazed at how many people have commented to us that they have read about us on the internet. They do a search and it derects them to the AZBW web site. They have read the articles and seen the adds. This has been great for our business! It is well worth advertising with AZBW. Not only do we have the monthly publication, we have internet coverage. Priceless!!!!!
Thank You, Carol and Jim for all of your hard work.
