To his parents, his daughters, his brother and sister, his wife and other family members, his fellow firefighters, and his many friends, Arizona Boating & Watersports sends its deepest sympathy at the passing of Capt. Eric Tinkham, 44, of the Queen Creek Fire Department (pictured in the second row, third man from the left). Capt. Tinkham began his firefighting career at the age of 17, serving with Rural Metro until December 2007 when he and 16 other firefighters were sworn in by Judge David Phares from the Town of Gilbert at the inception of Queen Creek's first fire department. Capt. Tinkham was a well-respected firefighter/paramedic who saved countless lives (and delivered many new ones) during his 27 years of service. Editor's Note: We have fond personal memories of Capt. Tinkham as our daughter Lisa Brookes Haws worked with him for several years, also as a firefighter/EMT, and had the honor of training him in dispatch for Rural Metro. In his short life, this valuable young man accomplished so much for so many. We are grateful, Capt. Tinkham, and we celebrate your life.
