Lake Pleasant Regional Park will host a Scuba Adventure Day for divers and non-divers. Non-divers can experience diving through a free “Discover Scuba” opportunity with diving professionals (bring a swimsuit). Come check out diving equipment, speak with diving instructors, learn about rescue agencies using diving and enjoy the crazy “Slippery Snorkel” event. Certified divers can participate in the underwater activities for a single $10 fee. Underwater activities include an obstacle course, a navigation course, a wild “Desert Lobster Grab” for prizes and the exciting “Treasure Hunt” for great prizes like a Blackbeard’s week-long diving cruise. Divers can ride out to several diving locations on the lake by way of dive boats and experience a lake dive. Certified divers should bring their gear and air so they will not miss out on the underwater activities.
Lake Pleasant Regional Park is located north of Phoenix in north Peoria. Take I-17 north to Carefree Highway (SR 74) then head west to Castle Hot Springs Road (MP 19) and follow the signs to the park. Once inside the park, follow the “Scuba Adventure Day” event signs.
