San Diego: April 14, 2011; SeaTow San Diego CEO, Capt. Chris Cucuru announced they have worked out a solution for SeaTow members with Mexican Government, the US Coast Guard and the US Customs to provide service in Mexican waters.
This came about in the quarterly meeting at the US Coast Guard Sector San Diego Base. Recreation and fishing boaters can be reassured that their SeaTow towing service insurance will continue to work as it has in the past. The new requirement is that when a call is received for assistance; SeaTow now calls the Mexican Liaison Office and the US customs to report the situation and location of the boat in need of assistance.
SeaTow San Diego currently has a fleet of 5 tow and assistance boats to service SeaTow members.
SeaTow San Diego Area covers members 100 miles offshore and 100 miles South of Point Loma.
