It is with regret that I inform you that today BASS made the decision to eliminate the Women’s Bassmaster Tour from the Bassmaster Tournament Trail. Despite BASS’ best efforts to grow the WBT, participation levels have been declining significantly since the inception of the tour in 2005. We have worked diligently to grow the WBT to increase or maintain participation levels – even awarding a berth in the Bassmaster Classic – but ultimately, our efforts didn’t resonate. This was a very tough decision and one that we didn’t take lightly. We certainly appreciate all of your support of the WBT.

If you already registered for 2010 WBT events, BASS will be providing you a full refund. But this decision doesn’t mean that you have no competitive opportunities with BASS. I encourage you to register for BASS events that you are eligible for as BASS will make every effort to grant you entry.
