RVs, Boats, And Everything Else To Play In Arizona

Ninth Annual ‘Big Boys And Their Toys’ Expo On The Horizon

The boys are coming out to play.

NASCAR simulators will be in full effect, the coolest cars on display and for sale, Dock Dogs will be competing – jumping off a dock to see which pup can launch itself the farthest, monster truck rides available for all, and mechanical bull riding shall tempt the adventurous.

One thing is for sure: The 9th annual "Big Boys and Their Toys Arizona Men’s Expo" is one play date the big boys don’t want to miss.

Founded by Gary Glava, CEO of Creative Car Concepts and Skyline Events, "Big Boys & Their Toys" is Arizona’s largest men’s luxury product show and the 2006 event is looking to be bigger than ever.

Previously held in downtown Phoenix, the Big Boys & Their Toys expo has found a new home at WestWorld in Scottsdale. The new location is expanding to include an outdoor aspect where toys like monster trucks can be experienced at their fullest potential.

WestWorld will be transformed into the grown man’s playground April 21-23.

"With the new location and addition of activities like paragliding demos, helicopter rides, and Dock Dogs, this year is going to be more fun than ever," Glava states with enthusiasm.

Popular Valley companies that will cart their toy boxes to the expo include Bondurant Driving Schools, Fly-N-High, and Simply Home Cinema. Celebrity personalities like the Cardinal’s football players will be hanging out to give autographs, and for a simulated racing experience or a tire-changing contest, NASCAR race cars will be revving their engines.

Women need not shy away from the festivities. Although the expo is enticing to men, Glava, promises fun for the whole family.

"Despite the name, the event attendees do not only include male testosterone," Glava promises. "The show draws a lot of families and has something to interest every type of person."

Glava even predicts with a smirk that women will be the first to step up to the mechanical bull ride and possibly the bungee jumping.

Providing 180,000 square feet of indoor space and additional room for outdoor displays and activities, the 2006 event will feature toys, gadgets, and gizmos from more than 200 exhibitors. Attendees will find everything from the finest cigars, coolest cars, fastest boats and latest airplanes to fitness, health, golf, gardening, hunting, fishing, cooking equipment and many different styles of RVs and trailers.

"The combination of indoor and outdoor space WestWorld offers is allowing us to make this year’s event more interactive and gives our customers the ability to truly test drive some of the merchandise. We are also proud to add the feature of pre-purchasing tickets for a discounted rate on our Web site."

The Big Boys and Their Toys expo is set for Friday, April 21 through Sunday, April 23.
