AZBW NEWS SERVICE — The International Marine Institute announced April 18 that it has scheduled its 7th Dry Stack Conference for Oct. 22-24 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

"Dry stack storage is becoming increasingly important as the industry struggles with limitations on boating access," said Jim Frye, president of the Association of Marine Industries. "This conference will convene the world’s leading experts in the industry and offer insight and solutions on this topic."

The institute, which is a subsidiary of the Association of Marine Industries,

said experts in the dry stack industry will conduct seminars on topics that include the following:

dry storage trends,
reconfiguring existing facilities,
condominium trends and boat clubs,
fork lift safety,
maintenance risk management, and
financial performance.

Some of the industry’s leading professionals are scheduled to attend and make presentations including Mike Wiggins from Wiggins Lift Company, Steve Ryder from Bellingham Marine, and Chris Rosenberg from Vertical Yacht Storage Systems, IMI said.

In a release the IMI said that this is the only dry stack conference offered in the world and is a great way to become informed on this latest trend in boat storage as well as networking opportunities with industry professionals and exhibitors.

The three-day conference is scheduled at the Double Tree Hotel immediately before the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
