Free Kids’ Fishing At AZ National Boat Show

Show and Fishing Exposition Feb. 1-5, 2006 at the Phoenix Civic Plaza, 111
N. Third St., is a great place for parents to introduce their youngsters
to the joy of fishing.
A free kids’ fishing pond, loaded with hungry catfish, will be featured
at the event. Bait, fishing tackle, and expert help will give each child
(age 12 and under) an advantage in hooking and landing Mr. Whiskers.
There will be plenty for Mom and Dad to do as 300 of the marine
industry’s latest boats will be on display, including ski boats, fishing
boats, cabin cruisers, runabouts, cartoppers and houseboats.
In addition, the latest in marine accessories will be on display along
with fishing demonstrations and water safety seminars.
Show hours are 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1; Noon-10 p.m. Thursday, Feb.
2; Noon-10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 and 11
a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday Feb. 5.
Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors (60+), $6 for kids ages 7
through 12 and free for kids 6 and under. Discount coupons worth $1 off
the adult admission will be available at 7-Eleven stores.
