AZBW Celebrates Anniversary #1;
Plans New Features For
Second Year
TEMPE, Ariz. — Arizona Boating & Watersports, the
state’s only news magazine of its type, is one year old this
month: September 2006.
In addition to the print version, Jim and Carol Allen,
publisher and editor, also bring the paper’s stories to several
radio shows each month. And, AZBW offers a Web site that is
continuously being updated with stories, breaking news, advertiser
information, and more.
The Allens comment further on the past year and future plans:
To all those who have been involved in our first year of
publication we express our sincere gratitude: our advertisers,
Webmaster, contributors, radio-show hosts, and our
production/printing/distribution team. We also thank the boaters,
the anglers, the RVers, and the watersports enthusiasts who have
been our loyal audience this year.
As we begin now our second year of publication, we look forward
to providing continuing coverage of our focus-topics, plus more on
purchase, maintenance, and safety, and children’s interests.
We are especially excited about our plans for a new feature:
"Old Boat, New Boat." This is planned to be a step-by-step
restoration of a 1952, 43-foot Chris-Craft tri-cabin.
In the works are television and radio broadcasts that cover
each facet of the restoration in an informative and educational
format. Many of our advertisers are already planning to
participate — each honing in on their specialties.
There is more, of course, on Arizona Boating & Watersports’
horizon. It has been a rewarding cruise so far, and the journey
ahead looks even more exciting for all of us, for all of you who
comprise the AZBW crew.
If you have news items, helpful hints, favorite destinations
