Come To Lake Havasu City Oct. 5-13
The International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA) 2019 Thai Airways World Finals is the most venerable and prestigious single personal watercraft event in the world. With an invitation-only policy attracting over 750 of the world’s best personal watercraft racers, the World Finals have been the cornerstone of IJSBA racing. In its 38th year, racers from around the world make the pilgrimage to Lake Havasu City every October for the opportunity to vie for the world champion title on the international stage.
In addition to the week-long World Finals, the dynamic, innovative and creative free-style action of the Big O Pro Freestyle Expo is taking place on Saturday, Oct.12, in the Bridgewater Channel under the London Bridge! As part of the ongoing competition in the freestyle and slalom classifications, selected competitors will compete in this special event in the Channel and all are welcome to watch from either side of the Bridgewater Channel.
Entrance Is Free
Entrance to the World Finals is free. Many vendors and plentiful beer stands. Come early to get a good spot in the bleachers, especially on Freestyle day. The parking entrance is on Beachcomber Boulevard just beyond the main entrance to the Crazyhorse Campground. There is a shuttle from the parking lot to the event, which takes place on the shores of Crazyhorse Campground. Parking is free until Wednesday, Oct. 9, which will be $10 that day, as well as $10 on Thursday, Oct. 10. Parking will be $20 per day on Friday, Oct. 11, Saturday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 13; however, there is a weekend pass available for all three days for $40. Parking fees are accepted only in cash. There will be an attendant at the parking gate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Areas outside of the designated parking lot that marked “No Parking” are subject to ticketing by the Lake Havasu City Police Department.
Craft Beer Festival In Third Year
The Thai Airways World Finals also announces the third year of the beachfront Craft Beer Festival from Friday, Oct. 11 – Sunday, Oct. 13, which will be held at a VIP viewing area along the beach at the event.
The Beer Festival includes 12 flavors to sample, four of which originate from local breweries Hangar 24 and Mudshark.
Beer Festival tickets can be purchased at the VIP Craft Brew gate adjacent to the Grandstands, and included with a $20 or $40 ticket purchase is access to the VIP viewing area of the start line and race course. Mingle with champions, sponsors, competitors, and PWC race fans while enjoying a craft brew! Nearby will be a variety of food vendors from ice cream to cheeseburgers.
As always, admission to the World Finals is free, and will have several locations on the race site with domestics from Romer Beverages for race fans to choose.
