Oak Creek Canyon Partially Open to Residents
Flagstaff, Az. – In conjunction with the Great Basin Incident
Management Team and the Arizona Department of Transportation,
the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office is now allowing Oak Creek
Canyon residents and business owners located north of Slide Rock
State Park to return to their properties.
Sheriff’s deputies continue to maintain north and south
roadblocks on S. Hwy. 89A to limit access into the Oak Creek
Canyon area. The north roadblock is located at the top of the

The public will not be allowed beyond the roadblocks until
further notice.
The southern roadblock, located at Red Rock Lodge, will
remain in effect and no citizens will be allowed through this
roadblock due to fire fighting activities until further notice.
