Fishing Tournaments In Full SwingCompiled By Margie AndersonTournament Results Mid-March To Mid-April 2008 Pete Willis and Jonathon Graham won the ABA at Roosevelt April 5 with 15.02 pounds. They won $2,130. Ryan and Rodney Mills won the Anglers’ Choice tournament at Roosevelt March 15 with 11.35 pounds, good for $860. Jim Waits and John Turner brought a whopping 21.85 pounds to the scales at the March 22 Anglers’ Choice tournament at Havasu and took home $2,110. Kim Wootton and Chad Richardson won $1,675 at the March 29 Anglers’ Choice North Lake Powell Division tournament at Bullfrog with 14.04 pounds. On March 30, Jim and Jackie Bishop won the Anglers’ Choice North Lake Powell Division tournament at Bullfrog with 16.12 pounds and took home $1,335. At the March 29 Anglers’ Choice at Lake Mohave, Roger Neukam and Marc Knudsen won $2,640 for their 20.03-pound sack. The April 4 Lake Powell Anglers’ Choice tournament was won by Murph and Melanie McBride with 12.9 pounds, good for a $1,635 check. On April 5, the Lake Powell Anglers’ Choice tournament was won by Randy Okubo and Steve Batty with 12.3 pounds. Their win netted them $1,445. Rick Thornsley and Dennis Cole took home $2,805 when they won the Lake Powell Anglers’ Choice tournament April 6 with 16.25 pounds. (My friends Ron and Sheridan Colby took second place in two of these three Lake Powell tournaments!) The team of Martinez and Downey took first place at the March 29 JackAZ tournament at Alamo. They won $ 3,250 for 18.33 pounds. At Havasu on March 15, Jeff Rutt And Danny Locatis won the MBC Super Team Tournament. They weighed in 22.5 pounds, including the second-place big fish at 7.45. They received checks totaling $5,714. Ray Hollings and Butch Kimes won the MBC Senior Team Tournament Lake Pleasant on March 22, with 16.9 pounds. Kimes also had first-place big fish at 6.5. Hollings and Kimes received checks totaling $1,675. Todd Harris of New River took first on the pro side at the WON Bass tournament at Lake Mead held March 29-30. He brought a two-day total of 32.7 pounds to the scales and took home $32,650. On the amateur side, Tami Jennings of St. George, Utah, won with 25.43 pounds. (Way to go, Tami!) She won $1,000. Larry and Jason Marquez won the April 5 National Bass West Colorado River Division tournament at Lake Havasu with 19.41 pounds. They won $4,345.
