Ya Just Gotta Be Here! From Mary Hamilton We offer a variety of hotels, motels, restaurants, shopping and resorts, including the Blue Water Resort & Casino and of course, The Colorado River! Don’t be left out on all the fun we have here. Mark your calendars on June 7 for the 31st Annual Great Western Tube Float! This year’s theme is “Chugging Along the Colorado,” commemorating the Town of Parker’s 100th Birthday. Parker began as a small railroad depot, and our Chamber of Commerce is located on the same property as the Arizona/California Railroad, so a railroad theme seemed like a good fit for this year. The annual float down the Colorado River is the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce’s biggest fundraising event of the year, and the entry fee is only $12 per person. The first 300 people to register will receive a goody bag that includes a custom-designed event T-shirt. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to the first- and second-place finishers in several categories. The finish line will include music, prize drawings, and awards as well as food and refreshments available for purchase at the River’s Edge Cantina at the Blue Water Resort & Casino beach. For more information, visit the www.parkeraz.org Make Parker your next destination. You'll be glad you did! May
