The Heat’s On!IHBA Coors Light World Finals Just Ahead At FirebirdONE OF THE SPONSORS OF “ROCK THE BOAT” — Doug Verstuyft wins the top fuel championship at Oklahoma City and sets a new SDBA MPH record with 257.88 MPH with an E.T. of 4.68 The world's fastest boats and most daring drivers take to the water for the Coors Light World Finals on Nov. 15-18. These rocket-like vessels will reach speeds of nearly 240 miles per hour as they fly across Firebird Lake, Phoenix, Ariz. Top Fuel Hydro, Top Alcohol Hydro, Pro Modified, Pro Gas Flats, and more will battle it out at the season-ending race. Who will be crowned champion for the season? It's fun in the sun with crazy speeds. This year the IHBA Coors Light World Finals will have a special feature. The Unlimited Light Hydroplane Racing Association will be conducting an exposition. The ULHRA were last in Phoenix, on April 23, 1995. The Unlimited Lights will be adding a new dimension to this world-class regatta.
