Boating Safety Is Part Of Its Mission Statement

'BOATERS' VOICE' -- In a beautiful setting, members of the Lake Powell Yacht Club have both environmental and safety concerns as part of their mission statement. Sometimes called "The Boaters' Voice on Lake Powell," the club is active in serving the interests of boat owners and water recreational enthusiasts, especially in this area of Arizona.

Set in one of the most beautiful areas of Arizona is the Lake Powell Yacht Club. Its mission statement sets forth the main goals of the club:

• to serve the interest of boat owners and water recreational enthusiasts
• to defend such owners and recreational enthusiasts against discriminatory legislation and burdensome taxation
• to prevent the pollution of Lake Powell and neighboring recreational facilities
• to stimulate a greater interest in boating among all the citizens in the area and those attracted to the area served by the club
• to promote better boating and water safety
• to develop a fraternal spirit among local outdoor enthusiasts, and
• to provide a medium for the exchange of boating information.
