Rock the Boat: THE 'FLAG' SHIP

THE 'FLAG' SHIP -- came first in the recent "Rock the Boat Vote." With modifications as are necessary, this is the winner of the "Rock the Boat" design competition for the 21-foot Scorpion Chris-Craft. The cuddy cabin, donated by Ed Hale of Hale's Marine, will be refurbished under the direction of Dan Turner of Sun Valley Fiberglas. When completed, the Scorpion will tour Arizona and some California waters as a public relations craft for the project's sponsors. It will also be available on occasion for youth and charitable groups. A 1952, 43-foot larger Chris-Craft will also be refurbished, then auctioned with proceeds going to Superstition Search and Rescue.
