Phoenix Power Squadron Offers Boat Smart

The Phoenix Power Squadron will once again be offering a four-week Boat
Smart Course to the public.

Families are encouraged to attend. Recognized by the Arizona Game & Fish Department, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and the Sheriff's Department, we have qualified instructors to teach you how to skipper a boat safely, about docking, about tying knots, about local regulations, and more.

 Successfully completing this course could qualify you for up to a 15 percent discount on your boat insurance.

The classes, which start Aug. 29 and continue for a total of four Wednesdays, are at West Side Community Center, 715 W. 5th Street in Tempe.
