TOURS TOO! -- Rich Ferber of River Parasail, Parker’s only licensed boat captain, has been providing the community with fun-filled parasail rides on the Colorado River for 21 years. The ride consists of a dry take off and landing from the boat with a breathtaking view 500 feet above the river. Of course, if you want to get wet, just let him know to cool you off! Ferber says it’s been a rewarding pastime and challenges anybody visiting Parker to a totally cool experience. He also gives boat rides during the winter months. This captain has extensive knowledge of the dam, the river, and community to add to the tour, which includes how the freighters navigated the river prior to the dams’ existence.
