Synchronized swimming is an exciting sport that combines the
athleticism of swimming, the acrobatics and precision of gymnastics
and figure skating, and the artistry of ballet and dance. It is one
of the best overall fitness activities you can find.
It also develops other important traits in young athletes such as
self-discipline, determination, confidence, good sportsmanship,
time-management skills, competitive experience, creativity and
design of swimsuits, and more.
It is a sport requiring overall body strength and agility, grace and
beauty, split-second timing, musical interpretation, and dramatic
flair. It is a unique sport in which power, strength, and technical
skill are displayed in an artistically choreographed piece.
