Boating-Safety Course Scheduled

The record of United States Coast Guard Auxiliary stands for itself. Their goal is to make the waters safer for all boaters. USCG Auxiliary's next "America's Boating Course" will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Maricopa County Sheriff's Blue Point substation at 7307 North Bush Highway (N.E. corner Usuary / Bush Hwy.).

Boaters can benefit from the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary's highly experienced, knowledgeable and Coast Guard certified instructors to learn the basics of boating safety including equipment requirements, piloting, powering, lines and knots, weather, and radio skills. The materials fee for the course is $25 per person.

This program meets the National Association of State Boating Law Administration’s mandatory educational requirements. The America's Boating Course includes a text, an interactive CD for further home study, and access to the America's Boating Course Web site, which also provides interactive instruction.
